About 5th & 6th grade Concert Band

Welcome to 5th & 6th Grade Band! In this ensemble, students will develop their skills as growing musicians both individually and in a large ensemble setting! Through the use of carefully chosen ensemble repertoire, our method books, and plenty of other supplemental materials, students will gain valuable musical experience in this class. We will explore new keys, meters, articulations, and dynamics, as well as develop the ability to make our own unique artistic choices and make the music we play truly “ours.” Our ensemble will uphold the standards of music education (creating, connecting, performing, and responding). Students of ALL experience levels and musical backgrounds are welcome!
In Ms. Gilroy’s band class, we strive to develop our musical skill to their highest potential while having fun and creating positive experiences.
