You will be issued a uniform that consists of a tunic and jazz pants. If a separate costume is used for competitions and games, you will be issued that as well.
-You are responsible for getting your uniform/costume out of the closet before each game/competition and returning it to the closet in the garment bag at the end of each game/competition. Tunics and pants should be hung from the clip hangers. Costume pieces should be hung as well so that we all look our best for the next game/competition. If you need help with this, please let me or a color guard leader for assistance.
-You are responsible for getting your equipment out of the closet before each game/competition and returning it to the closet at the end of each game/competition. Equipment should be placed back in appropriate bags and neatly stored for the following week
-Shoes should be placed in the back pocket of the garment bag. This keeps all the mud, dirt, etc. from getting on the rest of your uniform.
-You are responsible for keeping your uniform/costume clean. You are allowed to eat in your uniform/costume; however, if you spill something on it, you will need to clean it and return it to the closet in the band room before the next game/competition.
-Please clean and return your uniform to the band room at the end of the marching band season. When we are done with football games and competitions, you will have until Winter Break to return your uniform, cleaned and in your garment bag; after that, I will be contacting you to return it. If it is not returned by the end of the school year, a fee may be charged and you may have your report card held until it is returned.
-You will need to purchase black socks that cover your lower leg so that no skin can be seen when wearing your socks and jazz pants. Many band members keep a spare pair of socks in their garment bag in case they forget to bring a pair to school on a game/competition day. This may be different for costumes, but you will be made aware of what is needed when they are designed.
-You will need to purchase a black Under Armour Women’s ColdGear mock turtleneck shirt to wear under your uniform or costume. Football games in particular will get very cold very quickly. You can purchase one on Amazon or anywhere you can find Under Armour apparel.
-Appropriate hair and makeup will be determined by the color guard group and will need to be done the same way throughout the season. If you need help with your hair or makeup, please talk to your color guard leaders.
